In the historic surroundings of the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, the visit reflected a heartfelt return to a city that has remained deeply rooted in memory despite years of absence.
During his visit to Damascus for the first time since 2011, Dr. Abdul Qader Sankari, a UAE-based businessman of Syrian origin and the Founder and Chairman of HAND Organization and Al Rowwad Foundation for Cooperation and Development, visited the Umayyad Mosque.
Dr. Abdul Qader Sankari is known for his longstanding support to humanitarian initiatives and charitable efforts across Syria over the past years, while consistently choosing to remain away from the public spotlight and requesting that his contributions remain unpublicized in many instances.
The visit was accompanied by his assistants, Mr. Samer Bayrakdar, Assistant Minister of Awqaf, Mr. Mahmoud Zidan, Director of the Umayyad Mosque and his team, Mr. Safwat Raslan, Director of Syrian Development, Mr. Saadettin Muvakit, Executive Director of HAND Organization, Dr. Abdulrahman Dadam, Chairman of the Board of Al Rowwad Organization, in addition to several distinguished figures.
