Supporting the Neediest Children and Families

Within our centers and schools, we offer psychological support sessions for all children, through 
which we can discover psychological problems, and cases that need to be addressed. We also 
focus on regular meetings with parents and partners who play an important role in this regard.
Through a range of parties and fun activities, we create a safe and supportive environment and 
create an environment where children feel safe, accepted and supported. These activities give 
them space to express themselves freely and interact positively with their peers and friends.

We also seek to improve children's integration and adaptation into society, develop their sense 
of belonging and coexistence with others.

Consist of 4 main clubs; computer, sports, drawing, music. Students can choose the talent through 
which he/she sees himself/herself. More than 4696 students participated with us for 1533 training 
hours.

We believe that investing in the development of the skills necessary to build a strong personality in 
children, and training them in various arts helps to prepare a generation of balanced leaders who 
are confident in themselves, challenge the obstacles they go through, and have the ability to 
continue and make positive decisions.

An educational program that takes place in the summer for all our students through which we 
seek to refine the skills of our students, where the following:

Through the Life Skills project, we seek to promote the most important societal skills and values in 
children that help them acquire the life skills necessary to transition to adulthood.

Through the Life Skills Project, HAND focuses on three main dimensions:

1. Personal development: self-awareness, self-knowledge, self-control, 
   self-acceptance, self-esteem, confidence
   
   
2. Interpersonal relationships: communication skills, respect for 
   diversity, empathy, acceptance, cooperation, love. 
   
   
3. Learning skills: how to think, how to learn, how my mind works

HAND provides health services to Syrian students enrolled in Jebel Salam schools.

The Medical Protection Project also adopts attention to the health of orphaned children sponsored 
by the organization and takes care of all kinds of medical services they need.

We also provide support to our local partners working in the health sector, such as the Salam Medical 
Center in Arsal, Dar al-Fatwa health clinics in Beirut, with assistance ranging from medicines to medical 
equipment and others.

HAND students undergo periodic psychosocial support sessions within schools by specialists in the 
field.

The sessions focus on students who suffer from psychological and behavioral disorders.

In addition to the program, activities that support psychological conditions and enhance students' 
activities in the classroom.
