In a country where classrooms have long suffered from conflict, economic hardship, and infrastructural decay, investing in education is more than a necessity—it is a lifeline for the next generation. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and resilient learning spaces across Syria.
Why Education Matters
Education is not only a fundamental right—it is the foundation for sustainable development and social stability. It empowers children to shape their future, equips communities to rebuild, and drives progress in the face of adversity.
Our Work in Damascus, Homs, and Aleppo
In partnership with the Ministry of Education, we have launched a series of impactful interventions across key cities—Damascus, Homs, and Aleppo—addressing urgent needs while paving the way for long-term educational recovery.
Our key initiatives include:
Strategic coordination with the Ministry of Education, including meetings with Minister Nazeer Al-Qadri and the Director of Planning and International Cooperation, Youssef Anan, to align national priorities with local needs.
An Emergency School Maintenance Project targeting critical infrastructure repairs such as broken doors, windows, and sanitation systems.
Distribution of essential school supplies to 250 public schools in Damascus, supporting thousands of students and teachers, and enabling continuous learning in safe, well-equipped environments.
A Closer Look at Aleppo
Aleppo lies at the heart of our latest efforts. Through the Emergency School Maintenance Project, we are improving conditions in 15 public schools across the city. These upgrades aim not only to restore physical infrastructure but also to rebuild a sense of safety and hope for students and educators.
Key improvements include:
Repairing damaged doors and windows
Rehabilitating sanitation facilities
Enhancing overall school safety
By creating better-equipped, safer classrooms, we are helping children focus on what truly matters—their education and growth.
Looking Forward
Every child deserves a space where they feel safe, inspired, and empowered to learn. Through our ongoing efforts, we are contributing to a stronger educational landscape in Syria—one where students can thrive, teachers are supported, and communities can look toward a brighter, more hopeful future.
