HAND Organization and Al-Ruwad for Cooperation and Development proudly announce the launch of a project to rehabilitate 10 schools in the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods of Aleppo, under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and the Directorate of Education in Aleppo, and in close coordination with the Aleppo Governorate.
This project represents a vital step in our emergency humanitarian response, addressing the urgent needs of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods. It comes as a direct response to the severe damage inflicted on school infrastructure due to the challenging humanitarian conditions faced by the city—conditions that have significantly impacted children’s fundamental right to safe, stable, and quality education.
Through this initiative, we aim to restore and rehabilitate essential school infrastructure, ensuring that urgent needs are met while creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment for students and teachers alike. By doing so, the project seeks to renew hope, strengthen educational resilience, and contribute to a brighter future for children in the targeted schools.
