As part of its ongoing efforts to meet humanitarian needs in Lebanon, and in collaboration with the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF), HAND has launched two new projects aimed at supporting conflict-affected families and the most vulnerable communities—particularly in the Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel regions, where many face harsh living conditions and a lack of basic services.

Emergency Cash Assistance for the Most Vulnerable Families

The first project focuses on providing unconditional cash assistance to 550 of the most vulnerable families over a three-month period. This support is designed to help them meet their essential needs while preserving their dignity and autonomy—while also contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.

Improving Housing Conditions and Ensuring a Safe Living Environment

The second project seeks to enhance housing conditions for families living in inadequate shelters or at risk of eviction. It provides support for home rehabilitation and rental assistance to secure safe, dignified living spaces and strengthen household resilience amid ongoing challenges.

Active Partnership and Tangible Impact

Thanks to its strong and ongoing partnership with the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund, HAND has reached more than 64,297 beneficiaries from affected communities in recent months. This collaboration has enabled the organization to implement timely and impactful humanitarian interventions, focusing on protecting the most vulnerable and enhancing their capacity to adapt and recover.

The launch of these two new projects reflects a continued commitment to communities still grappling with overlapping crises.

In a time of escalating hardship, genuine humanitarian partnerships are vital to ensuring a rapid and sustainable response. At HAND, we believe that people are at the heart of every intervention—and that meaningful humanitarian work begins by listening to their needs and standing beside them on the path to resilience.
