HAND Organization, alongside other civil society organizations, participated today in the Civil Society Dialogue Day with Syrian Civil Society, organized by the European Union in Damascus. The Executive Director, Saadettin Muvakit, was one of the keynote speakers in the dialogue session dedicated to the role of Syrian youth.

Mr. Muvakit spoke about the current realities facing young people, the opportunities available to empower them, and ways to support their transition toward genuine participation in political decision-making. He also emphasized the importance of reforming education systems as a gateway to equipping youth with the skills they need for economic opportunities.

The session also addressed the role of civil society in creating inclusive spaces that help overcome barriers to education and employment, encouraging youth participation at various levels, highlighting the impact of youth-led initiatives on social and political change, and the support required to strengthen their effectiveness.
