During a second consecutive Ramadan response in Syria, HAND implemented a series of humanitarian interventions across multiple governorates, aiming to support vulnerable families and promote community cohesion.

Key Achievements:

Reached over 17,865 individuals through four consecutive Ramadan interventions across Damascus, Homs, Aleppo, Tartous, and Latakia.

Mobilized 316 volunteers, whose contributions were instrumental in delivering assistance and facilitating activities throughout the month.

Initiated activities in Damascus, engaging more than 1,500 participants, before expanding to Homs and Al-Qusayr, and subsequently to Tartous and Latakia, targeting vulnerable populations.

Activities concluded in Aleppo with community-based events for families and children.

Organized iftar distributions alongside a range of community engagement activities, including recreational events for children and families, in spaces prepared to reflect the cultural and spiritual significance of Ramadan.

Recognized and hosted essential service workers, including sanitation staff, gardeners, and electricity and water personnel in Damascus, in addition to vulnerable families across other locations.

Supported community presence during Ramadan evenings, including engagement near key religious sites such as the Umayyad Mosque, contributing to a sense of solidarity and shared experience.

These interventions aimed to address immediate needs while promoting dignity, inclusion, and social cohesion among affected communities.

HAND remains committed to continuing its humanitarian efforts in support of vulnerable populations across Syria.
